There’s still time to submit a proposal for the 2016 European Bee Award. The scheme is open to farmers, landowners, research institutes, academia and private and public organisations that develop innovative projects to protect bees and other pollinators in the farmed environment.
There are two categories this year – “land management practices” and “application of innovative technological solutions”. The winning submission in each category receives €4,000. But you’ll have to hurry – the deadline for proposals is 8 July.
The European Bee Award was launched in 2014 by the European Landowners’ Organisation and European Agricultural Machinery.
